This privacy statement was last updated on 11/01/2006. The AFJ family of organizations includes Alliance for Justice and Alliance for Justice Action Campaign. Each of these affiliated organizations and their subsidiaries are committed to preserving your privacy and safeguarding your sensitive information. The following statement describes the general information-gathering and usage practices of all our websites including:

We are committed to protecting your privacy online and maintaining your expectation of trust while visiting our website. We do not collect personally identifiable information about individual users except when such individuals provide information on a voluntary basis. Should you choose to provide your information it may be shared within our family of organizations and other closely aligned groups for the purpose of responding to any comments or questions you submit and to provide any follow-up information about our organizations and our issues. It also may be shared with an outside company to fulfill any request you have made to us, such as charging your donation.

Protecting kids' privacy:

We are concerned about the safety and privacy of children online. Because of this, we will make all efforts to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA). COPPA and its accompanying FTC regulations establish United States federal law that protects the privacy of children using the Internet. We do not and will not knowingly contact or collect personal information from children under 13. Our website is not intended to solicit information of any kind from children under 13, and we will develop our website with the capacity to block acceptance of information from children under 13 whenever age-related information is requested. It is possible that by fraud or deception by others we may receive information given to us by, or pertaining to children under 13. If we are notified of this, as soon as we verify the information, we will immediately obtain parental consent or else delete the information from our servers.
